Tuesday, June 25th - Creatures as Teachers
Animals often play the role of messenger, mascot, symbol, and more. How about when it comes to environmental education? Join us as we dive deeper into this month’s topic and recognize June as Orca Month in the Pacific Northwest.
Who: You! Anyone interested in environmental learning.
What: A community of practice for learners and educators in the Puyallup River Watershed. We are a peer-facilitated group that:
- shares resources,
- tries new teaching strategies,
- discusses problems of practice, and
- dreams up new partnerships.
This community of practice is a part of the
Environmental Education Community of Interest (EECOI).
When: 4th Tuesday of each month, 5:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.
Where: Tacoma Nature Center (1919 S. Tyler St in Tacoma)
Invite a friend and pass this along! No RSVP is necessary.
Participate in PLACE gatherings and earn free Washington State approved clock hours. 3 clock hours available for every two sessions attended.
