Join us to Practice, Learn And Connect to the Environment.

 

Tuesday, October 22nd - Art & Nature

Please join us to explore:
  “Ways Art Enhances Environmental Education and Connection with Place"
        Our guests will include Rosemary Ponnekanti and team members who will share the story of Tacoma Ocean Fest! Come with ideas and questions about how art can impact learning and the influences of story, music, movement, visual representation and more.

Who: You! Anyone interested in environmental learning.   

What: A community of practice for learners and educators in the Puyallup River Watershed. We are a peer-facilitated group that:

·        shares resources,

·        tries new teaching strategies,

·        discusses problems of practice, and

·        dreams up new partnerships.

 

This community of practice is a part of the

Environmental Education Community of Interest (EECOI).       

When: 4th Tuesday of each month, 5:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.

Where: Tacoma Nature Center (1919 S. Tyler St in Tacoma)

Invite a friend and pass this along! No RSVP is necessary. 

 

Participate in PLACE gatherings and earn free Washington State approved clock hours. 3 clock hours available for every two sessions attended.
